First Time to Ariel's Grotto Lunch--Indoor or Outdoor?

Hi all...need some expertise from you

We're doing a birthday lunch at Ariel's Grotto. This will be everyone's first time! Should we ask for reservations with indoor seating or outdoor seating? The ADR CM recommended indoor seating since the princesses will be "announced" but I was curious as to your opinions. We tend to enjoy outdoor seating in general, especially if the view is nice. Will we not get as good service or attention from the characters if we sit outside? Thanks!

The announcing thing was so cheesey I thought I was going to hurl, lol. But that's just us, we're not into that sort of thing really, and didn't say a word to the princess obssessed little one.

If the weather is nice, then outside is great.

We ate inside and it was a wonderfull experience. But when were were last there the water was drained so it was all construction so we didn't want to be out there with all that. IDK what we will do this time.

We usually eat outside if the weather is nice. We could care less if the Princesses are announced or not and the food is the same in or out. We love the outside atmosphere at AG, even with the empty lagoon we loved it. I vote for outside if the announcing doesn't matter to you, otherwise go with inside. if you do eat outside then make sure you look around when you are inside, the decor is really fun to look at.

We opted for inside as we wanted the air conditioning! We aren't used to the hot weather and knew we would need the break from the sun--especially my little girl in her princess dress.

It was part of our reservation. As I recall, there was a slight premium (ie cost) incurred for inside seating.

sorry, i should be more specific... the fountains are used for the Disney's channel Rocks show during the morning till afternoon and if the wind does pick up in the correct direction, it can get u pretty wet outside ariel's grotto. Ive actually seen it happen on the first day of the show...
