first time tenting in october

We have not camped at FW before and are thinking of tenting it the first or second week of october. What is the weather like and where are the best sites for tenting? It is just hubby and me and no pets. Any info would be great!!

Since you don't need sewer with a tent, then I would recommend Loop 1500 or 2000.

If you have a Large tent and large screen room awning, then I would recommend 2000.

If your tent is smaller, then 1500 is in a GREAT location.

October can be hot. I would recommend a fan at least!!

When we were tenting at FW, October was one of our favorite months to go. The weather is usually pretty mild, and great for camping.

i see your from canada (the other wisconsin ), october will be like your summer. we love it in october. ok, not just oct but, nov, dec, jan, feb, mar, apr.......

For us it's the best time to camp in Florida. In fact, we will be there this year at that time. We've even had a few chilly nights where wimpy ole me must run a small heater. But for the days, it can be hot but we're used to it so with you being from Canada, it will probably be extremely hot. 87 degree weather may not sound THAT hot but combine it with 99 percent humidity, it can be hard to breathe...not to mention extremely bad hair days.
