First Time Staying in a Value Resort

All of this is so informative. Honestly, the one thing I can't understand is the lack of a coffee maker. I haven't stayed at a hotel anywhere without a coffee maker.

Well, I have stayed in plenty of hotels without coffee makers (also the hotel I work in doesn't have coffee makers in the room but if you would like one we can provide one), but I don't drink coffee.....they do have coffee in the food courts though!

And thinking about it, I don't really know where they would have put a coffee maker in our room at ASSports, the rooms really are tiny.....I doubt they want to make it MORE cluttered when my suitcase explodes all over the room and there isn't any space to begin with.....

I understand what you're saying, I typically stay deluxe as well. But sometimes the budget just calls for a value resort and I have no problem with that at all! :D You're still in WDW and that's all that matters. :-) Usually I try to plan some extra special treats during my stay to kick things up a notch. Some exciting ADRs, maybe a dinner show, some extra spending money for shopping :P whatever sounds good to you and makes your trip fun.

First time at WDW we stayed at POR and LOVED it! This time with free dining we are staying at POP. I am shooting for a lake view room away from some of the noise. We like to wind down after a day at the parks. We are not too disappointed about a value since all we do is sleep, shower, and eat breakfast in the room. I have read many good reviews about POP which helped ease my mind.

We stayed at Music a few times, and compared to value hotels out in the real world, All Stars provided everything we wanted and needed when our DD was young. We spent most of our time in the parks and just used our room for sleeping. We liked the food court, and the themed pool just fine.

It is now that we are all older and are looking for more relaxation and luxury that we have switched to deluxe. Deluxe suits us now, but we will always have wonderful memories at our All Star Music resort.

Enjoy it! We loved music! It was perfect for our family & I def will return there, as well as try out other values! We are a family of 5, so we would require 2 adjoining rooms, or family suites to stay at values. But we love the theming & just want to be immersed in it! We did spend a couple hours at the resort each evening- swimming, arcade, movie....it was nice and we were comfortable. The food court was great there. No it's not five star dining, but there are many options, the prices are good and we enjoyed it several times for breakfast & a couple dinners too. The staff seemed to do a good job keeping up with cleaning tables off (a pet peeve of mine, I hate sitting on someone else's crumbs), and keeping the area clean in general. My youngest spilled a drink in the middle of the ordering area one day and someone was right there to help within 30 seconds. I enjoyed walking around one night, just taking night time pictures & enjoying some quiet time & different views. I requested 3rd floor, landscape view & that's what we got. I wanted to be away from the pool in case there happened to be large groups, but there were none when we went. But the location was great. It was quiet, we never really saw ANYONE except mouse keeping in the corridors. We DID hear the plumbing from toilet flushing/showerssome but honestly that's white noise to me, stuff you typically hear in your own home so that's not something that bothers me at all, but some ppl it does. I think you'll enjoy it & I hope you have a great trip!

I found the bus situation at the GF much worse than at the Values. The rooms are small, the beds not as comfy. Other than that they are very good. My family has outgrown them size wise, but if it is ever just myself and my husband I'd consider them.
