First time scrapbooker needs help!

Hi everyone! I have never done a scrapbook before, but I have been dying to!! I have decided to do one for our upcomming trip this October. Now for my questions....does WDW have kits, or lots of supplies? Also I was thinking about buying one of the Disney kits from Micheals and just adding to it. Can I add pages to those kits? Any help or suggestions you can give would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes to both. I think you can add to most books but I'm just starting out myself so not 100% sure about that. I just started my 1st book and it's of my trip. I bought by book at Costco and extra sheets at Michaels. I saw scrapbooking stuff at Disney, I can't remember the name of the store though. I didn't buy anything there since I wasn't sure how I'd get the pretty sheets home without wrinkling them.

The store at Downtown Disney is Wonderful World Of Memories. you can buy most everything at the resorts and parks though.
They have some stuff, nothing to write home about though. I get most of my Disney supplies from mousememories.com. They have a great selection.

If you are using a post bound album or a strap hinge album you can add refills, to an extent. They don't hold an unlimited amount of pages. I think I have 45 in one book and 50 in another.
Not all refills are universal though, so make sure you get the ones make for that particular album. I haven't had very much luck finding refills in the store for the Disney albums, but I haven't looked online. And the albums sold at WDW do not have refills. If you buy one of those, take all the pages out and buy all the same to complete your book.

I started scrapping with our first WDW trip, it is sooo addicting! I have 2 albums for that trip and I am now working on our second trip, which will also be 2 albums.

Word of advise, don't buy to much ahead, as you never know what you will have great shots of at the parks, just buy as you go-so-to-speak, I have tons of excess Disney stuff, because I bought way too much ahead of time.

Your going to love scrapbooking.

I buy the dated kits at the parks, everytime we go and then just buy whatever else i want at the stores or online. the kits are around $15.00. the last time i was in Disneyworld. i bought the ones with all the park themed paper in it. because thats hard to find.
