First Time Renting Points

Normally when I'm looking to book a vacation, I can check various rooms rates for the dates I want to stay. Now I'm considering renting DVC points and want to know if there's a way to compare various rooms at different resorts for my travel dates. For example, I want to stay July 1-6 in a 2br but not fixed on a particular resort or room level so I'd like to shop and see how many points I might need to rent from an owner.

The calculator linked to above will show 3 numbers, the cost to rent through David's Vacation Club Rentals, Points Required for room or Occupancy. You can switch which number is shown by using the buttons under the calendar.

However, the calculator doesn't indicate availability. When looking be aware that rooms that seem like a great value generally go very quickly and can be difficult to rent. Also, just because the room is available doesn't mean there is an owner around who wants to rent out his points.
