We've booked a Sept. trip at WL and will be using the DDP (1 TS, 1CS, 1 snack) for the first time. We have two kids- ages 7 and 9. We've eaten at a number of WDW restaurants (CRT, Chef Mickey's, Boma, Whispering Canyon, Biergarten, Tutto Italia, Via Napoli, 50sPT) and would love to try some new places. We're thinking about doing the Hoop Dee Doo which would use up 2 TS each. So we're thinking we can make it on the remaining 3 TS for 4 nights. Either we'll pay for a meal OOP or DH and I may split a meal once or twice. I'm having such a hard time narrowing down where to eat. What would be your top 3 choices for getting our money's worth? We're not opposed to buffets but we don't necessarily care about character meals. Thanks for any advice!

You can use TS credit with Fantasmic! package. At Mama Melrose one credit will get you appetizer, entree, dessert, and beverage (plus VIP seating for the show). Not bad deal since normally appetizers aren't included with DDP anymore. Also, character meals, dinner specifically, tend to be a good value on the plan.

One way to try and maximize the value is use TS credits at buffets for dinner. Some breakfast buffets can be around $20 and some dinner buffets can go closer to $35-40. If you want to pay OOP for a buffet, go for the breakfast.

Some buffets we like:
Crystal Palace
Hollywood and Dine (no characters at dinner)
Beirgarten

Some of our fav TS restaurants:
Teppan Edo
O'Hana
Whispering Canyon
