We will be there mid January for 2 weeks, 10 days in the parks. This will be my first time making FP+ reservations online. We have only gone once before and it was with the old system that you just walked up and got whatever time it printed.

So far I have done all the research I can on what rides I should try for first on each tier. So I have that all written down and which park we will be at on which day.

My question is now what time should I try for on rides? It will be me and DH so just 2 adults. What time does it usually start getting busy that I should have the FP? How much time in between? Does 12, 3, 5 sound good?

I have till midnight tomorrow night to figure out what times. That is the last stressful thing I have to do to finish planning for the trip. :)

This depends on so many factors, it's hard to generalize. And you probably won't be on the same schedule every day.

But yes, the time frame from 12 noon to 5 pm will be the busiest hours of the day, so if you plan to be in the park during that entire time frame, it makes sense to have your FP+ during that time period.

If you plan on park hopping it's also a good idea to go to park opening at the first park and then make the FP+ reservations at the second park.

Otherwise your approach is what I would do.

I like to book the start time of the first one between 11:00 and 12:00.

There is no need to put time between them. The earlier you can get through them, the earlier you can get additional FP+ from the kiosks.

If you're park hopping, it's often best to do the first park without FP+ and use them for the second park.

Well there is an advantage to being on the west coast. :) I was able to pick my fast passes at 9 pm and not have to wait till midnight. I tried to make my times for mid day but I made a few early to leave time for out lunch ressies. I am not sure right now which parks we will to in the evenings we are going to play that by ear when we get there so I did not make any for the evenings. Hopefully I did okay. we will find out later I guess. The only things that would no let you FP was captain EO and Kali. Other wise I had WAY to many choices and ALL the times were open. It made it way to hard to choose with every thing open,
