Wow, the more you plan the more confusing everything gets!! I have most of my scheduling figured out, but I just hit a wall. Everything I have read about the HHN event is amazing and I would love to check out the HHs. My problem is this, we are in WDW from September 22-29. The HHN starts on the 28, the same night as MNNSHP which we would also like to see. We dont have children yet so it will only be my wife and I going. At this point I am seriously considering blowing of the MNSSHP and checking out the HHN instead. Is this a huge mistake that I will regret? Since the 28th is the first night of HHN is it going to be so packed that its not worth seeing? Would we be better off doing the MNSSHP this year since it is our first trip to Disney? If we did the HHN we would spend all day in Universal and would without a doubt get the EP.

Thanks for any advice,

Brian

I'm not an expert on this but someone that is will probably post something.

From what I've gathered HHN at Universal is the best thing going by far and is very high tech, basically world class haunted houses that are really scary and not for kids at all.

The WDW thing from what I've heard is much much m ore tame and more for kids. So if I were you I would schedule at least 1 or 2 full days at Universal, do the HHN at night, and I guarantee you you will not regret it.

i haven't done HHN either (soon i hope lol); have enjoyed MNSSHP.

i'll say it was for my DS, really -just gave me an excuse to dress up like Minnie Mouse & finally get DH in a halloween costume (Capt. Morgan, not Capt.Jack;) ).

The FW presentation is amazing & the parade is very interesting, especially the HM folk doing a cool bit with grave shovels throwing sparks.

Honestly, unless you'd get a kick outta running around in costume, i'd head over to U.

AWESOME, you guys rock! Thats what I was looking for. I figured the MNSSHP would be geared more towards kids, thats why I pointed out that we dont have any! I am all about an adult HH! Although I don't know if I can say the same for my wife..

So I guess my next question is this. We dont plan on doing IOA, we DO plan on doing the Studios and HHN. Do you think 1 day is enough to cover everything in the Studios park and still enjoy the HHN? As I said I do plan on getting EP.

I think you'll be fine with that plan. Since Horror Nights is at Universal, those attractions will still be open but to see everything at Horror Nights and Universal would probably be impossible in the time allotted even with Express. But if you start earlier, you should be fine.

I'll be there the same night. I can't wait!! Have fun!

tough decision. the reason we like Not-So-Scary that early in the year is the MK feels dead. the rides are all walk-ons. Wishes 360 is awesome, and the headless horseman leading the parade is a cool sight. we don't dress up, and save trick-or-treating for the end of the evening.

HHN is totally different animal, it's the premier Halloween party in the country. the houses are so detailed they pump different smells in the rooms to match the effects.

Not So Scary is relaxed event, where HHN is intense enough it should carry at least a PG-13 rating, some years and houses an R.

Ok, I think I am all set now. I just got off the phone with a Universal rep and this is what I got:

2x - Universal Studios Tickets
2x - Universal Studios Express Pass
2x - Stay and Scream HHN Pass
2x - Stay and Scream HHN Express Pass

For a total of $350.00!!!

Im sure it will be a blast though! Thank you everyone for the help!

I don't think you needed Express during the day but go on boy.. Run past those lines..
