You mentioned several times about DH physically, is there a walking issue ? I apologize if you mentioned it & I missed it Consider an electric scooter ?

I read every page just couldn't stop :rotfl:
sometimes even I think I am Disney crazy:goodvibes
we haven a ecv rented and have the comfirmation he's had 2 back surgeries, and a stroke. And right now they are deciding if they have to do another back surgery.......thanks for asking :)

well I have kind of learned to reverse our roles I now open doors for him and I carry all the packages, suitcases, whatever. Unload all the groceries and packages from the car and now do most of the driving(did I mention I hate to drive) I have been doing all the housework, taking out the dogs and any lifting that needs done. I have been looking for a part time job but I don't know how I will leave him while I am at work, some days he can hardly get out of bed. But one must press on and just get the job done. Ok that sounds like I am really suffering, but I am fine, really. Not looking for sympathy, just trucking along:) we will have to wait and see if he has to have another operation or not. At least he is on long term disability from work, so his insurance is footing the bill for now.

It doesn't sound like complaining, or suffering, its hard when things happen in life
WDW trip will certainly help all of you, for a well deserved break :)

Guess I didn't go back far enough in reading. I saw the 2 1/2 weeks until we come :woohoo::woohoo::banana: I was planning on working out the schedule, tour guide, chocolates and pictures :woohoo:

Now Ruthie and I will have to suffer thru chocolate withdrawals :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper: for a little while longer :rotfl2::rotfl2:

They are coming here we are going to a indoor water park and the renfair also Rainforest Café! I love that place. Ok showed this to DD already but she said I should show you all so this is what I did with my morning.

I made this using prequilted fabric. It has 2 pockets, a small black one and a larger red one. on the inside and a pocket under the flap....

Thanks it took me about 6 hrs.....but who counting I enjoyed making it. I find sewing relaxing as long as it's something I want to make and not fix this or put a button back on...:rotfl2:

:confused3:confused3:confused3Well I made our trip plan out using 2 different trip plans from WDW prep school. I took the princess plan and melded it with another plan. Love the girls and want them to have the full princess experience. But it is our trip too, so I put in some stuff we (Raina and I) want to do. I think it turned out well for a rookie! I also made a trip book but it got so big there was no way we could carry it with us. We would have to higher a weightlifter to follow us around. So I decided the big book would stay at the hotel where we can look it over in the evenings for tips that are in there. I will make 2 small books, for Raina and myself to carry at the parks.
So then we talked about Tinker bell gifts...now this I could sink my teeth into. So I tried to think where we would be everyday and something I could get them for those days. Ok I admit it I went fanatic. I think they have enough to keep them busy for about a month... :rotfl2: Can you bring sidewalk chalk, just saying. Well that's what grandmas are for right? I thought so, at least it should save Raina some money :cool1:
Next list things to pack, well I followed the list on the prep school site. No I did not get everything on the list, most but not everything. pixiedust: I am sure I won't need all this stuff. But it's better to have it and not need it, then need it but not have it right. That's what I thought. But I did spring for a bottle of Martha Stewart, glow in the dark glitter to spread our pixie dust pixiedust:
Ok so Raina is coming in aug. she will bring the extra stuff back to NC with her and then to WDW. Man could never fit this stuff on a plane, good thing Raina's driving. :car: Ok so I started with a tote for the girls and a tote for our room that would have the extras I might need plus stuff for the other kids. Oh forgot a couple of Raina's friends are supposed to come to WDW too. We plan on pool time together and if they want to meet up for dinner they have to make their own reservations. I will give them a list of when and where we are eating. :confused3: I made Minnie ears for everyone, got Minnie /mickey bubbles for everyone stuff like that. :wave2: well my 2 totes have evolved into 2 totes, and 3 large tote bags from 31 plus a few extras for DD. Like my DH got a new comp so Raina is getting the old one. :surfweb: Good thing they have a van..lol DSiL is going to kill me I know it! :crowded:

:rotfl2: you sound like me. Last Nov. I started doing small ty/welcome bags for everyone joining us for our 30th vow renewal trip. Turned into large bags with small bags in it, because I needed the extra room for the extras I bought, so I just tossed it in with the other bags. It just keeps going. lol

I think you can do whatever you want :confused3 I never really thought about it , but I guess most people either put one on their shirt or bag. It's like a DIY thing, there isn't something already made (as far as I know...) :goodvibes

Years ago there was a disboard store. Lime green everything. The best thing I bought was an antena topper. No matter what the weather or movement around it, that little lime green ball vibrated. We could ALWAYS find our rental car. Somewhere, somehow, I lost it. DH was so sad. We also had his/her matching disboard shirts. But, the kids wouldn't stand near us when we wore them.

So mom, I have been thinking about it and I hate to change the days around again, but why not :rotfl:

I really think we should go back to starting out at MK. I know that a lot of people say not to, but lately I've been reading about a lot of people going there first every time they go! I think it will be too much waiting to go to the other parks first and Evie already asks about the castle all the time :goodvibes Plus, it will get our disney excitement going right to start with :thumbsup2

Anyone out there have any comments? :listen: :scratchin

For us, it doesn't feel like we are in Disney until we see the castle.

I am only on page 9! Geesh this thread started in July,. and already has so many pages. How will I ever get caught up?

Now, it is all coming together, Hello, Trish & Rainna. I know you have been on other threads & mine too.

It is going to take me a long time to catch up. But, I will do my best.

I will definitely post a pic, I think we might need a before and after....before we get to moms and after we leave!!!! And then she still has another year to buy more stuff!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Look forward to seeing this!

we were just trying to fit Via Napoli in somewhere and it ended up here....problem is we want to eat at ALL the restaraunts :lmao: keep reading blogs and looking at pics, just makes me hungry

Our goal is now to try 1 new restaurant each trip. Problem is... we never want to give up the old "tried & true" ones. I feel your pain. :)

wen Resort day B-chief Mickeys about 9 then pool time/rest time around 2 head to DTD Early D-TRex and then Circe de solie

thur our pirate day B-in room pirate league/make up L-LTT and D-cs MNSSHP

fri AK B-Tusker House 9 or so, L-? and D-California Grille

Sat us & girls MK B-Winnie poo L-cs D-Via Napoli is that better?
Raina & Greg will be at F&W on this day

Sun B-in room (not sure what park or parks we are going to) but D-Chefs de France , we plan on doing stuff we missed or wanna do over..lol

Mon depart don't know time yet so don't know how much time we have

Only suggestion I have here is I would pack a piece of fruit from the room for everyone. Time flies when you are going from one ride to another, then you get caught trying to sneak past a character without an autograph/picture and before you know it you are 1 hour past when you planned to go back to the hotel for rest, which pushes your return by an hour....etc. You get the picture. If you get stuck in that scenario, hand them a piece of fruit, let them nap in the car on the way back to the hotel & you can cut the time back at the hotel by an hour.

suggestion...MNSSHP if you think of it as another "park" that opens at 4pm and ends at midnight

MK becomes something you will never see unless at MNSSHP There are things there to see and experience on no other day With the Christmas party for example you can see the Christmas parade on TV or experience it in MK after all the parties are thrown

This is what I suggest , now remembering that MK at night for MNSSHP is a totally different park and with all of you the cost is approximately $400. Nothing to sneeze at The girls will be excited and you'd be surprised how many children are running around in front of the castle at 1 am wide eyed bushy tailed pumped up on sugar no doubt but happy not cranky Given that I would use MNSSHP day as a down day at the resort Hang out at pool, eat at resort etc nap if needed

A 9 & 5 y/o are perfect ages, they can do 8 hrs in the park easy I don't think you will have a problem...you just need to adjust so that the 8 hours are at night NOT added on the back end of a visit to a park during the day KWIM ?

We traveled with another family in Nov. 2 totally different sleep habits.

Us - sleep mid morning stay up late - that is our non vacation schedule
them - early to bed early to rise. - their non vacation schedule.

So, what we did on vacation...

Us - up early, plan midday rides of easy rides, Peter Pan, Pooh, small world back to the hotel for dinner. back to the park, leave park closing.
Them,. up early, midday naps back t hotel, eat dinner, back to park, leave early.
Now, keep in mind this was Nov. the parks close a bit earlier.

When it came to a late night, ALL the kids wanted to stay until closing, which was 1am. They stayed until midnight. (mainly the parents were exhausted) We started leaving at the same time, but got side tracked. We ended up close to closing the park, maybe even closed it. It is a different atmosphere. It is a thrill for the little ones to be up that late. AND ALL of ours wanted to.

I spent the day redoing our trip book so it's ready when raina comes next month. Sence we changed resorts and almost every ADR I had to basicly start over but it's done yea pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Love your books!

And, although I didn't quote it, I LOVE your bag! Great job.

So, proud of myself for catching up.

btw, you should check out the disability thread on the disboards, if you havent already. I am only sporadically in a wheelchair, and that site helped me out so much for our vacations!
