first time in orlando

After years of promising myself and my kids we have finally decided to make our first trip to Orlando and Disney. It would be a great help if anyone could give me advice on parks, times, where to get tickets from etc etc e.g is it best to buy them in the uk
I know there is alot of advice on many websites but they tend to offer differing advice, so I thought it would be better to ask people with first hand advice.
