First time going in mid August, questions about Halloween events, etc.

Looking at going to WDW in August, can’t do much about the weather so we will just deal with it. But we need to rebook our trip so looking at being there Aug17-Aug26. When do Halloween parties and events start usually? Will that have any impact during our planned dates for any of the parks? We are not going to attend any of them. Any issues that we need to consider? We will have some non-park days and we will also be at UO for a few days. Thx!

I would recommend reading the Official 2023 MNSSHP thread for dates.

Yes, parties will be running by your trip but it will work in your favour. I HIGHLY recommend you book MK on party days with the understanding there will not be fireworks those nights for day guests.

If you wish to see fireworks you will need to book a non-party day or, hop to MK on a non-party day.

MNSSHP closes the park to day guests at 6PM. This early closing will deter many guests and lines will be much more reasonable on party days. We also visit MK in Aug and as soon as party dates are announced we book MK on those days.
