Well in exactly three weeks time we will be at vwl for our first visit home. Although we joined last year we banked all the points as our little baby daughter was just a little too young to travel, well she is now 23 months old and constantly talks of mickey goofy pooh etc. Our daughters godparents are coming with us and we are in a 2 bed villa (its their first time to the world). In the past my wife and I have stayed at both the all stars, moderates and the poly and even for a mad couple of days at the GF, athough I've seen the pictures read the posts etc, tell me please how will our visit home compare, everyone seems to suggest that the standard of the accommodation is so much higher, is that really so?
To cap it all we honeymooned at the world spent our first anniversary at the world and now we are back with our dd for our fourth anniversary on the day we arrive. I would love for their to be a little something in the room (flowers/ champagne etc) can I do this through member services or direct to vwl?
Sorry for the rambling but the excitement is setting in!!!
Finslly wil member services arrange priority seating or do we have to do that direct?:)

You said it yourself. You are going home. That's what it will be like. A good sized bedroom with a king-sized bed (and a jacuzzi tub with standalone shower) for you and your wife. Then your friends will have either a queen sized bed AND a sofa or two queen sized beds( I forget what setup they have at VWL). And their own bathroom. To top it off, you will have a nice living room with TV and VCR, plus an excellent kitchen and dining table. Plus, you have a washer and dryer right in your home.

Compared to the standard hotel room, this is living!

For the extra touch in your room, call MS to see what they recommend. You can also call the Disney Florist to see what they have to offer. It's probably better to make your own PS ahead of time. You can call MS to have them connect you with Disney Dining to save you the cost of the call.

We have 100 points at VWL (our most points are at OKW, but we also own at BCV) and think it is so much like Yellowstone (our old favorite from when we lived in Eastern Montana). The villas are great. You'll love them.

Welcome Home!!

VWL are first class rooms. 2BR will be about 3 times the size of the room you had at GF. The main bathroom is about 3 times the size of any bathroom you have seen in any of those other resorts. Of course you will have a kitchen and w/d too; three TV's, a large one in living room. WL is a uniguely designed, excellently themed resort--it really does look like something out of old national parks. For possibly something in the room better to call the hotel. MS can do dinner ressies or you can do it direct.

Thanks as always for the replies we are counting down the days.
One quick question. i suspect from reading the boards that I should have put in any room requests at the time of booking, however to be truthful as I have never been to the VWL I wouldn't have known what to request, so a) is it too late to make any requests b) if not what does everyone recommend and c) how do I go about making them?
Thanks again in advance!

First of all WDW and VWL and the WL and the 2 BR are going to blow the godparents away.
What fun to get their impressions of all these.
Never stayed at VWL but have beenover there and looked at them several times. The views are mostly woods(pine trees) and the pool. One of our VWL members will have a suggestion. Just call MS and have your request added to your ressie after you make a choice.
Have a great trip and give us a trip report when you get back.
