Ooops -sorry for big delay. My Christmas trip sort of got on the way. But finally - Day 4 of our Halloween Trip.

Day 4 – 24 October

Another 7 o’clock breakfast – this time we were the first ones in there. We should have been about first into the Park, but we had a couple of incidents. Firstly the room key wouldn’t work. Husband went off to Reception to sort it. Apparently he had demagnetised it by keeping it next to his mobile phone. Dtr and I grabbed our stuff while husband faffed about – he said he’d meet us in there. I realised while walking though the Village that I had his park pass so would have to wait for him anyway. He seemed to take ages and he was very out of breath and sheepish when he caught up with us. He’d left the room key in the room and had to go down to Reception and confess this to the same CM who had helped him 10 minutes earlier. He did feel a twerp! Still it was nice and quiet and we managed to get lots of rides during EMH. Dtr and husband had to have their now traditional dance to the music playing near Pizzeria Belle Notte.

We rode Peter Pan twice, Buzz Lightyear twice and IASW and then dtr and husband decided to go over and queue for Crush while I tried Salon Mickey for the FIRST time. I was really impressed with this – it was every bit as elegant and calm as I had read. All the hustle and bustle of the Park seemed a mile away. The pastries were nice as well! I got talking to family who noticed my green ribbon and asked if I was going to the Dis meet. They were DISboarders but were unable to make the planned meet. I am daft, because I never took their names, but if you’re reading this then HI.
I went then to meet husband and dtr who had met some characters as well as riding Crush. We went into Frontierland and on PM then went to watch Goofy’s Magic Pot on the little stage next to the Cowboy Cookout. It was now time to go over to Colonel Hathi’s Outpost to meet up with Ware Bears and Suzybear. I think I ate a pizza as well, but was so excited with chatting I’m not really sure. It was really nice to meet up with people who I knew through the board. Another FIRST

After saying TTFN we went to Indiana Jones for the braver 2 of the party to ride twice. Then we had a good wander round the Cabane Des Robinsons, Adventure Isle and the 2 ponts – flotant and suspendu. We had a lovely feeling of relaxation now – we had seen and ridden all we wanted and anything we did now was a bonus. The weather was certainly helping, as it stayed sunny and bright.

POTC of the Caribbean was closed (boo) so we went to ride Casey and the Fairy Tale boats instead.

Dtr got Captain Hook’s autograph and we watched Character Express before leaving to go back to the hotel for a swim or rest, (depending on if you’re me or them).

We went back to the Village and timed our meal at Annette’s to coincide with the Parade, so there was no queue whatsoever (separate report on Annette’s thread). We decided after eating to dash over to the Studios – there was just time for Dtr and husband to go on Crush, while I went on the Flying Carpets and then went to the shop at the end of RnRCoaster to get my son a t-shirt. We met up and went back to the Park to do loads more rides – POTC, Indiana Jones X2, IASW, Snow White, BTM, POTC (again – well, had to make up for the earlier closure) and finally Pinocchio. After yet more shopping we went back for a drink in the Redwood Bar, where exhaustion kicked in (maybe slightly exaggerated here!)

Finally we made our way to bed, but not before dtr spotted a witch and Pumpkinman wandering around in Reception.

We knew we had to be up early to pack…tomorrow was going home day.

Glad you made the DIS meet. Looks like everyone had a great time :goodvibes

Thank you for this part. I love the dancing picture. And I love the park in the morning when everything looks brandnew and fresh. :thumbsup2

It looks great then, doesn't it? Also I can bear the queues later on so much better if I have had peace and quiet during EMH. :)

Great report- had to laugh about your husband with the key LOL. Lovely photos too!!
