This trip to WDW will be my daughters first flight! Any suggestions on keeping her occupied on the plane for a few hours? She's almost 10 and doesn't enjoy reading. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Playing cards, travel games, and my favorite is the portable DVD player. My computer has DVD player with over 6 hours of battery life, so we just bring that..... it is wonderful! Just make sure to have headphones for the player so you don't disturb others... we bought a splitter so our kids can both plug in and listen.....

If she likes to draw... I bought my DNiece a Disney drawing book (sold at Michaels) which teachs her how to draw a lot of the Disney cartoons. The book was geared for older kids. It kept her occupied for hours, and she didn't want to put it down even once we arrived.

I have to agree that a portable DVD player does keep kids occupied.
My DD10 loves to pick her movies out before trip and watch during flight with earphones. Good luck!

Ditto the dvd player. If she has an ipod she can download some books on tape from itunes. Coloring books and crayons? I'm 30 something and I still LOVE to color! How bout magazines? I only let my daughter (she's 11) read those teeny bopper magazines (Tiger Beat, Teen People etc)when we go on an airplane. Same goes for me with the trashy magazines (Us, People, Enquirer etc.) I only buy 'em and read 'em on an airplane ;)

Wow! Thanks for all the great ideas! We leave next saturday! WOOHOO!
