First-time-ever stay at DVC... BCV trip report :)

If you check out the Budget page, you'll be able to read all about them. They really were a great deal at B&C.

Sherri :)

A word of caution. I was a passenger in a car that stopped at The Golden Corral. In my opinion it may have been the worst dining experience of my life. Was there a lot of food? Absolutely. Was it cheap? You betcha. But we're talking poor quality slop here.I never served in the Armed Forces but from listening to those that have I know that the mess tent would be an upgrade to this place. You can in fact stuff yourself half to death on the cheap but if your looking for a half decent meal this is NOT the place. If you're looking for something off site that won't break the budget I would recommend www.bahamabreeze.com . It's nearby and the food actually has some flavor.

Well-reviewed Par8hed! That was how I have felt about the Rainforest Cafe, except it's not cheap. Having worked in both the Circus (selling toys) and in the commercial fishing industry, I can tell you that the SOS they served in those places was both more healthful and tastier than the piles of horrible food they served us at RFC. The service was better in the Circus (provided cook wasn't "chewing" that day), and the restrooms were cleaner aboard ship.

And to poohnpiglet3, glad you had a great first trip "home". That first one is so exciting isn't it?

Hi. On your next trip get at least a one bedroom. You'll have a lot more room and with a kitchen & full refrigerator, you'll be able to keep hungry tummies in check. ::MickeyMo

With the one-bedroom you will have a king bed for mom & dad, and the little ones will have a nice queen fold-out in the living room.

Our kids are now 8, 10 & 14 and we have graduated to a 2-bedroom for our trips. Have fun!:sunny:

Hi,
Thanks for your report.
You mention one thing that has saved my sanity everytime we've been to WDW: The afternoon nap for the kids (and at times the grown ups!). Being a DVC owner, I know I'll be going home at least once a year, therfore I can really enjoy WDW each time- not have to rush around to see everthing, and get those kids (5 and 3) in for afternoon naps, so our whole family can enjoy our vacation.
