First time driving from NY. Detailed report.

Tonysgal, I know someone who just booked airfare out of Rochester. Non stop flight Airtran for $110 per ticket TOTAL!! This was September 26- October 3. When are you going?

You can't drive that cheap.

We've driven down a lot and it's not so bad. Our best time was 21 &1/2 hours but DH was driving much too fast. Count on it taking 24 hours....

funhouse8, We left Disney at 3:13am. At 3:28pm we were in Maryland. I have never seen any traffic at the Harbor Tunnel. When you go into it you can look to your right and see the back up at the Ft. Mchenry. I don't know if it's longer going this way but there is no traffic. I would rather drive a little futher then sit still. I enjoyed the drive, if I were rich.....and didn't have to work.....I would drive back right now

crzy4dsny...hello from exit 69 off the LIE. I loved reading the driving times you made. We always talk about driving and then eventually book the airfare. My kids are getting better in the car (*knock wood* as we're driving to Sesame Place in 2 weeks). We survived a 9 1/2 hour drive to and from Toronto at the beginning of the summer. Maybe one day we'll attempt driving to Disney!!

I never thought I would do it. But then we purchased AP's. They really burn a hole in your pocket. We had 2 trips planned this year, but we snuck in a third. So we had to drive if we wanted to go
