First Time DCL, First Time Disney Magic - Deck Question

Hey folks - I booked an 11C room on the Disney Magic with GTY - this was deck 2.

I ended up with a deck 7 room - looked it up, it was category 11A.

Is this considered an upgrade? Or really just a "like" cabin? Both are standard inside staterooms.

It's and upgrade. "A" is, in theory, better than "C".

It would be considered an upgrade as it's a higher deck and I'm guessing midship for the category 11A? The stateroom itself is the same design as the 11C GTY room you booked, it's just the location that is the upgrade.
