First Time CVSer

So happy with my bargains! I had $18 in ECBs from my first shopping trip. This week I bought a Fusion Razor, Nice N Easy dye, Crest mouthwash, Crest toothpaste and an Oral B battery toothbrush for FREE! The price after my manufacturer's coupons was $18.54, minus my ECBs and for some reason the receipt read as 0 owed. And I walked away with $14 in ECBs for next time!! Why didn't I start doing this a long time ago?!

Isn't CVS awesome !! It's so addicting ! I decided to keep a record this year of what I spend / save each trip. So far, I've only spent $ 33.00, I've SAVED $ 280 and got $ 35.50 in ECB.

My DH cracks up everytime I get home.....and is waiting for me to tell him that my picture is up in CVS with a big red / through it !

I'm amazed at what you folks post as your take from CVS. Do you use all of that stuff? If not, what do you do with it? I'm all for a bargain but I don't want to store stuff I don't use.

Sometimes I don't use all that stuff, but if it's a bargain that I need to get the other stuff I do want for free such as when they're paying me to take an item home (yes, I've made as much as $10 on a single item) then I'll buy it and find someone else in my family that will use it (make-up goes to my cousin, baby aspirin to my dad, etc.) or give it to a friend (the shampoo they love but my kids hate) or I will donate it to the local food pantry. Also, some things just don't go bad like toothbrushes and razors so I don't mind having a stockpile.

This was our first week actually shopping at CVS. We paid $7.50, for over $35 worth of stuff. I don't mind having a little extra of things like soap, toothbrushes, etc. We were amazed at how well it worked, and the lady at the register was super friendly, so it was a great experience.

I agree with 3boymthr about donating the things you get free or not needing to family or a food pantry.
