First Time Cruising - Is Palo worth it?

Just thinking about that Portebella Mushroom Appetixer. Best I've ever had. Yes, definitely worth it. Husband liked the brunch better and I liked the dinner better. We will definitely do Palo on our cruise next year the only thing we will pass on next time is the spa. Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of people really enjoy this and while it was nice (we did surial and rain forest), I probably won't do them again or if we did, they wouldn't be high up on our list of priorities but Palo definitely is #1

We have been on the eastern and western 7 day cruise's . We have three children 2, 9, 11 . We never got around to palo, It just seemed like too much effort with baby sitting , booking ahead etc. Besides we took the magic kitchen tour and they said all the Entree's for palo's come out of the main kitchen
( lumere's/ parrot cay). Palo's has its own pastry kitchen and prep area for food that arrives from the main kitchen. We got the impression that palo's was about service and ambience, so we passed .

I beleive that Palo has it's own kitchen (it's open to the seating area).

On the 7 night'ers we have brunch in Palo. Have never had dinner there. We love the brunch. It is a highlight of the cruise.

We have always loved our servers and tablemates. We feel that we can pass up the great food for the great company any time. And we very rarely eat out at nice restaurants (maybe 5 times in 25 years)
