First Time Cruiser Questions

I am a first time cruiser leaving on a 4 day Wonder Cruise Oct 17, 2004 and have a few simple questions.

1. My DD is a Tinkerbell fanatic. She keeps asking if she will see Tinkerbell on the ship. Will she?

2. My parents have been on several cruises with other lines and have been telling me to wait to buy souvenirs until the last day as they usually offer some items at 50% off. Is this true on DCL?

I don't remember seeing Tinker Bell, and some souvenirs do get discounted, but I really did not notice a big discount on the last day.

My family's going in the same date as part of our Land/Sea Package. What room are you and do you have children? My DD is 11 and my DS is 10

pooh4eva, We have been 2 Disney cruises and we haven't seen Tinkerbell on our cruises. The character lines are sometimes very long. DCL doesn't do 50% off on the last night of the cruise that I know of. Have a woderful cruise. TJHUTCH

The closest to seeing Tinkerbell you may get is the Disney Dreams show that they do. I don't think they have a Tinkerbell character for photos or the like.

Some items also sell out on the cruise so if you don't get it you may not be able to get it. I don't recall a huge sale for items. Sorry.

I got a reservation from Swim with the Dolphins and I needed to confirm this by Thursday. This is a very expensive excursion but I know its worth it and that's the reason why we want to do it. My question is, what if we are not able to go to Nassau because of hurricane, will DCL cancel it for us even though we did not book it from them (they dont have swim with the dolphin, they only have encounter). Please help. I will be paying $165 each person (for 3 and one observer). Thanks a lot
