The family I nanny for is going on a cruise for their first time and I convinced them to do A Disney Cruise. I do not have kids so I am not sure what type of tips to tell them.
They have a 6 & 8 year old.
They will also be having their uncle with them who is 30 but has the mentality of a 10 year old level and also has cerebral palsy. He will be using a wheelchair or walker on the cruise.
I need tips for both their uncle with a disability and their two girls. They picked a summer cruise that will make two stops to Castaway Cay. What activities will be there best for their family?
all tips welcome!

What a great suggestion. There are a lot of threads for new to Disney and New to cruising, and little known secrets or tips. I would recommend them getting a competent travel agent who does DCL specifically. They will be able to guide them really well in choosing staterooms planning activities and helping with the disability requests.

In the mean time, they may be interested in the kids clubs programming, the family beach at Castaway Cay, seeing the stage productions, and being prepared for Pirate Night fireworks by dressing up.

On CC they have wheelchairs made for the beach so don't rule out the beach because he has a wheelchair. I believe they hold one cabana for someone needing an accessible room. If it's in the budget that would make for a nice relaxing "home base" to spend the day. Note that it's not guaranteed to be available though.
