First time booking online....

And of course I messed up: ). Trying to book for June 3, 2021.... I had 8 points left from March 2020 use year... and 130 for 2021. It pulled all the points the from 2021. I double checked my dashboard and both show up as "available" . What did I do wrong? Shouldn't it have pulled from 2020 first?

Two Possibilities:

1. Did you first bank the March 2020 points into the March 2021 use year (which you can do online)? Those points could not be used in any June 2021 reservation unless they were already banked. (if that is the issue, bank the points and then make the reservation, or, if reservation already made, do a modification to the same reservation you already have and you will be able to use the banked points as part of the modification.

2. The online reservation system, when there are banked points , sometimes initially shows when you first click to do the reservation that banked points have not been used first. Solution is to just continue and complete reservation and at the end you will see that banked points were actually used first.

You should be able to fix it, if as drusba said, you didn't bank before booking. Simply bank the points, modify the reservation, and if you have multiple contracts, select the contract with the banked points as the first contract to pull from.

Thanks! Yes I didn't bank them- that was my goof. I called and they fixed it and I was able to keep everything the same. At least I know for next time!!! . You guys are the best!
