This will be our first time at WDW. I have a 5 yr. old son who is a picky eater. We don't plan on eating at a sit down place except for our character meals. Do you think we need to? Where are some good counter places?

Welcome, WinniethePooh84! :teeth:

There are many great places to eat at WDW. For helping in your planning of your sit down meals, use my PS Calculator site (use links below).

There are many good counter service places to eat in each park and many resorts have food courts with the added value of refillable mugs (mugs you buy once and fill as often as you like in the resort's own food court). WDW over the years has really made an effort to give not just the usual burger and fries or pizza entries and has added many items like salads, pitas, fruit, fish and poultry items.

There is a menu database here on the DIS which can help you out. However, my favorites are Columbia Harbour House in MK, Yorkshire County Fish Shop in Epcot, ABC Commissary in MGM and either Pizzafari or Tusker House in AK.

Happy Planning!

Both my kids and DH are picky eaters, too.:D

MK--Cosmic Rays's
------Pecos Bill's
Epcot--Electric Umbrella
---------Liberty Inn
---------Sunshine Season Fair at The Land
AK--Flame Tree BBQ
-----Pizzafari
MGM--Pizza Planet
--------Backlot Express

Most sit down restaurants have kids menus with "normal" food like hot dogs, burgers and nuggets.

Check out www.wdwig.com Deb has menus with prices. You should be able to find someplace where you can get something different and DS can get something basic!

Have a great trip!
