First Time at US and IOA help!

Here it is, never been- first time w/ my dh and ds 11, ds 8 and dd4. We are staying at the Royal Pacific so we get the "first on line thing" (not sure what it is called). We arrive thurs. am July 12 and leave Monday am July 16, w/ unlimited park admission -we have purchased tickets to Sea World as well.
Which days are best for which parks? Anything else I must know. I am a disney addict and know all about there , but nothing about universal! HELP!!

The great thing about front of the line access is that you don't have to have a real touring plan. You can beat the crowds! The only thing will be the counter service restaurants can be crowded and you may need to be selective there. What we did was we tried to eat at odd times, not peak lunch and dinner times. At table service restaurants, you get priority seating with your room key.

Is it like Disney w/ having to make ressies before you go w/ dining? Are there sit down restuarants at the parks or just City walk? I hate not knowing it all like I do disney! LOL

So do I need to make reservations for eating or can we wing it at odd times (we llike to do that too)
Which days are better for which parks or does it matter since we have the fotl thing? Thanks again!!

You can make ressies early or just make them through your conceirge at the hotel or at the entrance to the parks there is a dinner reservation kiosk or wing it. We always wing it but we don't go at peak times.

There are quite a few good sit down restaurants in the parks as well as at Citywalk and at the hotels.
It doesn't matter which park you do when with your FOTL passes. It is still nice to get to the parks at opening because the parks are really at their lowest attendance then.
