First time at OKW

It looks like DH and I will be staying at OKW for 3 nights in March. Our original plans were for 10 nights at VWL. After checking price for flights from Boston I discovered price is much cheaper if we return on Saturday instead of Wednesday. So I called DH at work and told him our options - try 3 more nights at VWL or OKW,BWV,BC. He said try OKW especially since it is less points. I called MS, even though I know it is too soon, and was told that there is plenty of availability for the dates we need(I hope this is still true in a few weeks when I call to make my reservation). I am really looking forward to staying at OKW. While I love VWL, this is a perfect opportunity to try a different DVC resort.

what are you getting - studio, 1bed or 2 bed

March is spring break - but alot of people don't realize that most schools schedule is now on the internet and spring break for 2004 (and in some cases 2005) has been determined. they wait until school start in Aug or Sept to make the reservations.

so I think you will be fine -it you are worried you can always trade your points for OKW points - I am sure that won't be a problem.

We will be staying in a studio, plenty of room for just the two of us. What building would you suggest I request. I need non-smoking(DH is a cancer survivor), non-handicapped(arthritic knees need tub), but we don't need access to the bus stop because we will be using our rental car. I would like to be close to the Hospitality House to be close to the food areas. We eat very little in our room, especially near the end of our vacation. Thanks for all your help.

We LOVE our home resort, VWL, and last year did exactly what you're planning on doing ---- decided to extend our stay a few days and save points by trying OKW (especially since it was a w/e). We just loved it! So this year we took one trip to VWL and can't wait for our November trip at OKW. Hope you have the same wonderful experience we did and have a great trip!

say first floor close to the Hospitality House non-smoking for medical reasons and tell MS what your medical reasons are.

the new building 62-64 are close - so is 11-14.

I too would like to be close to hospitality house - as I have back problems, and have 3 kids who will want to spend a lot of time at the main pool. Does building 62 have a water view ?
