Hey all! T-minus 46 days until our next trip (not that we’re anxious for it to get here!). This will be our first time using our DVC membership, and the first time staying at Kidani, though we’ve stayed at Jambo twice.

We’ll have the DDP and are wondering if there’s somewhere at Kidani to fill our mugs, get basics like grab and go sandwiches/snacks, pastries, etc. Something like the market side at the Mara, without the CS. I know Sanaa serves breakfast, but not sure if that’s still TS or CS.

There’s a gift shop with a drinks area and some grab and go items-but nothing on the scale of Mara. But it’s a quick, pleasant walk over to Jambo-we did it several times-in the morning and evening.
Enjoy your stay! It’s a beautiful resort!

Awesome, was hoping there would be at least that much! We’re really looking forward to seeing Kidani! We stayed at POFQ on our last trip, after twice staying at Jambo. And while it’s not our DVC “home resort”, it feels like “going back home”

When we were there in Sept 2016, Sanaa had a breakfast with some things you could grab and go, or sit down for a QS. We aren't big breakfast eaters so we only went there once, but it was good. We refilled our mugs in the gift shop every morning. Enjoy! We LOVED Kidani!!!

I hate to change the subject, but I have a quick question re: Kidani. We will be there in 17 days, and I was just thinking - I remember seeing/reading something saying that Animal Kingdom lodge resort does not take cash for purchases. Is this true? Do you need to pay for EVERYTHING (food, drinks, souvenirs) with magicband, credit or girft cards?

As of the end of May, yes it was true.

I'm pretty sure the pool bar also has some grab-and-go type foods as well as the ability to order hot sandwiches.
