First time at Fort Wilderness

We booked our first trip to Fort Wilderness campground ever. We've stayed at most of the other resorts. It's been 7 years since out last trip. This is also our first adventure with camping (we are renting a rv). Any must do things at the resort?

Scupper has a good start. I'm not sure there is enough bandwidth on the DIS boards to list everything that makes the Fort more fun than a resort.

I really like the lake front. Taking the boats places, sitting on the beach with a lawn chair watching the Electric Water Parade and then the fireworks from MK complete with the music.

Looping is fun, especially if you are new to camping. Looping is when you take a golf cart, bike or just walk around the other loops checking out everyone's campers, motor homes, tents, tow vehicles or just their campground setup. It's nice to stop and talk to people that are out.

The Fort just has a different feel than the other resorts. Less rush and a lot more personable. But you are just a nice boat ride away from MK or the monorail and all the fun of WDW.

I'm glad everyone mentioned looping. We will make a point of doing this. Seems like a great opportunity to pick the brains of seasoned campers.
