WE live in AZ so we have been to Disneyland many times. We are doing Disney cruise ( went last year and it was so great we had to go again!! ) so we thought we would try DW.
We have 3 days to spend in Oct. I want to do the MNSSHP for sure. Is DW that different from Disneyland? Would you do one day at each park?
And can you walk between the parks like you can in California?
Not sure where we are staying yet...
It will be my hubby and I and 3 kids
DD6
DS 9
DS 11
Thank you so much for any input!!

You cannot walk between parks and it is very spread out. We love DL ..but also adore the WDW experience. I highly suggest staying on property and getting a few guidebooks to help you plan. We like the Unofficial guide to WDW and Passporters.

And I would do 1 day AK and 2 days each Epcot and MK..HS 1 or 2 days.

The only two parks you could walk between would be Disney Studios and Epcot, but it would still be a hike. You could leave Epcot and travel to Magic Kingdom via monorail, and could also leave Epcot and walk to the Boardwalk Resort and catch a boat to Studios. Animal Kingdom would be by bus or personal car. Disney World is much larger than Disneyland, which would fit entirely in Magic Kingdoms parking lot. Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney Studios will together fit into Animal Kingdom. Don't let the size intimidate you, just plan ahead. Everything will be new to you so slow down and smell the roses so to speak. If you are staying on site, the resort busses do a pretty good job. We've stayed numerous times at POP Century, and although its bus stop is usually farthest from the parks, we've never had much problem. Remember at park closing most busses will stand people when returning to resorts.

Hi! You are gonna love it! I would be sure to allow at least one full day for each of the parks. You will not be able to see and do everything, but this should give you enough time to do the things you most want to do, if you do some research and planning.
Getting a good guidebook is VERY helpful, and of course, the DIS boards will offer you so much helpful info.
As another poster said, staying on property is a good idea, especially your first time. The bus system will take you to all of the parks, and depending on where you stay, there is the monorail and boats, too.
Enjoy your trip!

Thank you!! Yes we are staying on property, just not sure where... I am researching that too! :) thank you!
Someone mentioned Epcot?
I didn't think that was for kids? I was not planning on going there, should I be?
I was thinking 3 days at DW and the one day at one of the waterparks, but I could change that... Too many fun places!! -

I wouldn't miss Epcot of all four of the parks! The kids will love Soaring and Test Track. It has always been my kids fav!

I agree about not missing Epcot. If we could only do two parks, it would be Magic Kingdom and Epcot. No question! Your kids are old enough that they will be able to appreciate it. Like TNDisneyNut said, they will love Soarin' and Test Track. (Well, Soarin' may not be that big a deal if they'd experienced it at California Adventure before. But we could ride that ride several times on each trip regardless if we are in Florida or California!!!) The older ones will probably like Mission Space. The younger DD will probably like the Nemo ride. I'm sure everyone will like Spaceship Earth (the ride inside giant ball). And then the World Showcase is a blast. Our kids have always enjoyed exploring the different nations and shopping. Especially in the Japan and Mexico areas. DD6 will love the Three Caballeros ride in Mexico (inside the pyramid.)

Thank you!! I think we will add in Epcot after hearing your comments. So helpful!!
