Can someone tell me what view, floor etc I should request for my stay at the Boardwalk Inn the first week of May? I have never stayed at the BWI before so I don't know what is available. I have a standard room reserved.

TIA

I stayed in a standard room that had a courtyard view and we could see the nightly fireworks at Epcot. We also had a great view of the Eiffel Tower. If you can't get a courtyard view, I would also suggest the area near the quiet pool. There are real pretty gardens near the quiet pool.

I had a standard room booked and asked for a view of Epcot. We were able to see the Eifel tower and the higher fireworks from Illuminations. You could also hear the music from Epcot. We also asked for a full balcony. Some of them are only 2 person/standing room only. Ours had a table/chairs. When we looked down we saw the garden suites, really pretty view. So we just requested in order of priority, non smoking, Epcot view, full balcony. We made the requests on our ressie and 3 days before we arrived sent a fax to the resort.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Non Smoking, Epcot view, full balcony sounds perfect.::yes::

Thanks again!

BWI

Hi, wdwcindy,

The BWI is a great place to be and any room there should be good. To give you another option, we have stayed three times on the 4th or 5th floor overlooking the boat dock, most of Crescent Lake, the Village Green, and part of the boardwalk. These rooms are more expensive ($71 I think), but the two of us enjoy resort time and the balcony at the room gives us nice place to relax with coffee and people/boat watch.
You probably already know what a fantastic location you will be in!! So much to do, see, and eat!!!!! Have a most magical trip! Bob

We will be staying at BWI for the first time in June. I requested a boardwalk view for the water & people watching. Figured there should be plenty going on in the summer. But after the glowing reports of Epcot views, I'm beginning to wonder if we should skip the BW view in favor of the Epcot, MGM views. Any comments?

In Feb. we had requested "non-smoking, upper floor, Epcot view" but it was unavailable when we checked in and we were upgraded to a Partial BW view room which sounds like what finnie48 had. It was a nice room, very close to the elevators, very convienient.

BWI is a lovely resort, we had stayed there twice and really like it.

We had the Epcot view at BWI and loved it! ::yes:: We could see all the fireworks from Illuminations and hear the music. IMO it's better than the Boardwalk view.
