First time at BLT - room request

We have rented DVC points for a dedicated 2 bedroom lake view at BLT. I want to request a high floor but have read differing opinions on whether to request a North or South room. I'd love to be able to see the Electrical Water Parade and maybe fireworks from MK or Epcot. Since we've never been there, what are your thoughts?

I like the south-facing side of Lakeview, so the outer side of the building but facing the CR. I just love seeing all of the boats and the CR building and the lake of course.
