Our first experience at the Fort was wonderful. However we were tent camping in July with a 1 year old. Our oldest was 7 at the time. She loved it. Especially loved just riding around on the golf cart. Great way for the little one to take a nap.
I remember one night going to sleep in the tent listening to the sounds of the fort and in the distance you could hear the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. I drifted off to sleep only to be awoken by a VERY loud BANG-BANG. I sat straight up. Checking to see if the wife and kids were all OK. Then I thought there has been a mis-hap with the fireworks over at MK. Then my wife said to me, that was the Space Shuttle DA. Turns out I had been asleep for hours and it was just before dawn. I had forgotten this was the last landing of Shuttle Atlantis.
Anyway we had so much fun there we have finally gotten the Pop-up ready and have 2 trips booked. Next is Jan. 1 - 4 and then again June 17-21. Can't wait!
