First stay at SSR

This will be our first time to use our points and stay at SSR (actually our first time to use our points at all). Can someone tell me what comes with the rooms (I have 2 studio rooms), what do I need to bring? What about the laundry facilities... are they convenient to use, do we need to bring detergent? We do not plan on eating much in the room, but are there basic dishes available? Any other advice on what we should plan for?

I can't recall exactly where the laundry is at SSR (for 1-2BR, it is in the room). It might be a bit of a walk from your unit, but it will be free (except for detergent/softener).

Studios have a microwave and a small fridge. There will be basic plates available. IIRC, studios give you paper plates and disposable silverware.

If you drink coffee every dasy, you might want to bring some, and some filters (you'll get the first days' worth). if you are doing laundry, you could bring detergent (I got some nice one use packets of Tide recently).

Everything else should be there. If you have a car, you might want to stop at Publix or Walgreens for some snacks/drinks. If not, consider one of the delivery services (the private ones arew much cheaper than Disney's).

Each room has a portable crib. And I usually bring those coffee pods you can buy (like a teabag) -- that way you don't have to bring both filters and coffee.

At SSR, the laundry rooms are at the pools. You'll need your room key to get into the laundry room. You'll need to provide your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets or fabric softener (if you use that). The laundry room closest to the High Rock Springs pool is the largest with at least four or five washers and maybe eight or ten dryers. All the rest have two washers and three or four dryers.

Each room has a pack and play, not a crib.

One thing to be aware of, there is no guarantee that your two studios will be close to each other. They may be, but they might also be far apart. And studios never connect to other studios.

It took me a while to call it a pack and play. We called them play pens.
