First Stay at Cabins - Loop Recommendations?

Hi, everyone!
We are planning our annual trip for MVMCP for December 1-3.
As you can see by my signature, we always stay at the Contemporary because we are a family of five.
This year, my mom is coming along and the cabins are the best choice for us,
(other than getting 2 rooms at a resort, which we don't want to do).
We have definitely settled on the cabins, so I am now (desperately) looking for some help in choosing the loop that's best for us.

Since it'll be December, we won't be interested in the pool.
We will probably want to go to the campfire one night and maybe the petting zoo one morning.
We'll be driving over and will stop at a grocery store on the way, so we won't need to be near the Trading Post.
We will take the boat over to the MK for the party and to get to the monorail
for Epcot the next day, so we'd like to be near the marina or at least a bus stop to get there.
So, what loop would you recommend?
I can't tell from the map if all the loops have cabins or only certain ones.
Help!

One more question - My mom will come out just for the party and wants to drive back the next day.
If we have 2 vehicles, can we park one in the front parking lot by the Corral?
I thought I read somewhere that there's only 1 parking space in front of each cabin.
Am I right?

I can answer lots of questions about the Contemporary, but this is new territory for me!
Any help you could give would be wonderful ... Thanks in advance! :)

The cabins are only in loops 2100-2800. We just stayed in loop 2100. I don't think it matters so much what loop you're in, but what would be more convenient is to request a cabin near the front of the loop. Then you can easily walk to a bus stop. No cabins are near the marina. We rented a golf cart and drove it to the marina. Most people prefer loops 2100 or 2500, but 2200 and 2300 are close to a bus stop.

Have a great trip!

We have stayed in loops 2300, 2400, 2600 and 2800 and liked them all. Like the previous poster said just ask to be at the front of loop. Only once were we pretty far back in a loop. I think, maybe, I liked the 2800 loop the best but it isnt as close to the pool which you said didnt matter for you all.

You can park one car at your cabin and one car in the front parking lot.

Have a great time!!!

Thank you so much for all your help!
Now I know what to ask for when I call to make my ressies.
(Especially if I get someone who knows less than the DIS-ers do!)
I will be sure to ask for a cabin near the front of a loop and close to a bus stop,
since we are park "commandos", usually stay from open to close,
and will want to save our feet from any unnecessary walking!
I can't wait ... Everyone just raves about the cabins and it will be a nice change
from the CR, which we love, but getting out of a hotel will be something new for the kids, who are WDW vets!
Thanks again ... Rose :)
