Hi all, we just returned from our first stay as DVC members at the Boardwalk. We had room 5011 which is a one bedroom overlooking the Boardwalk, Epcot and Yacht/Beach Club. DH and I both agreed it was well worth the additional points to have this view, but we spent a ton of time sitting on the balcony watching the people, boats, fireworks...from that room you can see Wishes and of course Illuminations in perfect view. My only complaint was that I had to look at missing shingles on the roof of BCV. (kidding!!!
)
The room was spotless, in perfect condition. The new sofabeds are very comfortable. I have seen some people complain about the long walks to rooms and we had a long walk but it was not an issue because I needed to walk off the calories from all the extra eating I was doing. A word to the wise, the cheese danish in the Boardwalk Bakery was the best I have ever had! I didn't realize this until we checked out this morning, thank goodness, or I'd have had them daily. (a friend recommended them to me)
The parks had such low attendence we were able to walk on almost all the rides in 10 minutes or less and the weather was perfect. Just a tad bit of rain here and there.....nothing bad.
I even saw a wedding at Sea Breeze point on Wednesday and walked down to get a closer look and Minnie and Mickey made an appearance in their wedding attire. Very cute!
Anyway I went on longer than expected. I ENVY those of you who own at BWV. We loved it so much we added on a night and stayed 5 nights instead of just the 4 we booked. This is a fabulous resort!!!! It made us realize that every penny we paid for the DVC was so worth it.

We were in room 5058, smack in the middle of the 5th floor overlooking Luna Park. I was a tad concerned that evening pool fun might interrupt sleep, but it wasn't the case. Our walk was very short compared to what it might have been! I really liked being able to just walk down to the Boardwalk and leave DD12 in the room or at the pool for a few minutes, while I went to the general store or picked up dinner. She loved being able to hang out in her 'apartment'. It truly did feel like we were in our own little city-our room probably wasn't much bigger than a studio apartment in NYC!
