Just booked my first stay at AKV Jambo House for one night! I know its only one night :( , but I plan to spend most of the day at the resort. So questions, I will be traveling with DD 4 years old and DS 2 years old, which pool is best, Kidani or Jambo? If Kidani is better, is it a hassle to get there from Jambo? Also are there any requests that I could make while checking online that would improve my stay? Please include any tips as to Dining, activities, etc. Oh and did I mention I got a Savannah View! :cool1:

We stayed at Kidani in May with DD12 and DD3. They both LOVED it there. The pool at Kidani is amazing and has lots of splash areas for little ones. DD3 loved the splash area...with fountains and waterfalls. And the zero entry area is very nice. We went back and forth to Jambo a few times. There is a van that runs between the two resorts and we found it didn't take too long to arrive. Also, I think you can jump on the Downtown Disney bus at Jambo and the next stop will be Kidani. We actually walked back and forth a few times too since our room at Kidani was on the Jambo side.

Since I stayed at Kidani, I don't know about room requests at Jambo other than to tell you that lower floors usually give better views of the animals. And Animal Kingdom has amazing food choices. We ate at Mara (quick service at Jambo) and Boma (table service at Jambo) and Sanaa (table service at Kidani) and loved them all! DD3 especially loved Sanaa because we got a seat next to the windows and she got to watch the zebras run around during dinner!

Enjoy! Animal Kingdom is our DVC home resort and we love it there!

I would definitely say Kidani is a better pool area for your family and I personally would switch my reservation to Kidani. For a one night stay, if you will be using Kidan's pool more, it would not be worth the hassle of walking or transporting over there.

The Kidani pool is great for small kids. Mine really liked the water play area. older kids (>5-6 years) will like the slide into the main pool.

Well nothing was available for Kidani, I guess I will be walking over to the Kidani pool. :hyper:

While walking from Jambo to Kidani is possible, it is a pretty long walk, especially with small children, (think around 1/2 mile each way). I would suggest the courtesy shuttle van that runs between the two as a better option. Just check at the desk for more details.
