First 'Split Stay'

We added a night at BLT (3/16) before we hop over to BCV for 7 (check in on 3/17). (I can't believe we found something available at BLT this close). We will have a car and are only taking a small bag into BLT. So moving our stuff is not an issue. But, is there anything I need to do to ensure our Magicbands will work at BLT on our first day and then BCV for the rest of the trip? I don't think it matters, but BLT is on our points and BCV is rented points.

Doesn't matter. There is nothing on the magic bands. They just access your account. Both sets of bands will work just fine at both resorts.

Only issue is walking all the way to your new room and trying to get in and it not working. It happened to one of our bands but the others worked fine. Once one of the bands opened the door, it then activated my band, strange but true.

We had no problems when we did a split stay. The bands continued to work correctly for the doors and in the parks. We didn't have a car that time and had Disney transfer our luggage and it was very smooth.

Just make sure that BLT has checked you out prior to checking in at BCV.

We did 3 resorts last trip. You will need to have them check you out before the new resort will activate your checkin. They can do the checkout at either resort but if you don't plan to go straight to BCV, then go to BLT front desk and let them know you need to checkout as you are switching resorts. If you forget or don't have time, just let them know at BCV you just transferred from another resort and didn't go to the front desk to checkout.

Also, if you are on the Dinning Plan you must use up all your credits before you move on to your next Dinning Plan credits at the new resort.
