Hi All!
I'm considering going on my first solo trip, I'm 18 and looking at going May 16-23. (Seeing as most people won't be out of school yet... I hope! :) ) Wanting to stay at POP now knowing it has it's own bus line. Any advice for a first timer?! I added up all the costs and should only be about $1000. I'm SUPER excited knowing it's not horribly expensive.

My only concern really is being alone! Haha :) I know I'll enjoy it but I'm not the most outgoing person! Maybe it'll help.

Anywho! I'd love some advice and so on if anyone's willing!

Thanks so much!

I considered my first solo trip for a few days...and now I'm booked! :cool1: I'll be there May 21-24 at Saratoga Springs. I've never done this before, but I think it will be cool to be able to tour the parks and not have to worry about what other people want to do. Plus I can do my favorite rides over and over again if the lines aren't bad!

Are you getting a vacation package with dining plan (full or quick service)??? That's probably a good way to go if you want to pretty much have most expenses paid before you get there. And POP is a good choice too!

I'd be getting the deluxe dining package (I CANNOT do just quick service) I'd go for a higher end resort but the only time I'm ever in the room is when it comes time to sleep, plus this is saving me alot of money :woohoo:

I can't believe you're going for that short of time! I don't even get my Disney fix filled after 2 weeks!

I totally get that. I do wish I could go for longer, but I managed to make $250 get me an all-inclusive 3-night/4-day trip (due to dvc points, unused airfare money w/ southwest and my annual pass). Unfortunately to go for longer would have me starting to pay for a room instead of using points. Oh well! I figured 3 nights is better than nothing. :)

Normally, the trip would be for a week (and with family or friends) and I would go for the full dining plan as I l-o-v-e eating at those restaurants! This will be like a "bonus" visit. Hope you enjoy your trip! Sure sounds like you will!
