I thought I would start a fun thread.

What is everyone's first ride of the day? You rush throught the gates with your running shoes on and which ride do you head to first?

Last year we headed to peter pan, the first day and
it's a small world the second. Becasues we had a 1 year old and a 4 year old.

This year since my daughter is old enough to go on splash mountian we will head there first.

If anyone has a hankering to ride Dumbo, it is absolutely the first place we go--the line is just unbelievable! But more usually we do Autopia first.

The first time we rode Autopia, I let my then-3-year-old drive, and she was terrible. I could see my son, then 8, in the car ahead of us, driving sooooo carefully, and the car I was in was all over the place! My daughter kept slamming from side to side and yelling her head off. They must have thought we were nuts! The rest of the trip she kept saying, "The steering wheel was ALIVE!" It was great!

The first time we ever went to Disneyland was in 1998, and the first thing we rode was Pirates of the Carribean and then Haunted Mansion. We have kept with that tradition every year since. We usually go in the off season, so lines aren't typically a problem. If we went during the summer, we'd probably dash to Splash Mountain first. We just got back a few days ago. Those So Cal people think it's cold when it's 65 - 70 degrees out so they don't want to ride Splash Mountain. We must have rode that 20 times while we were there as there were no waits at all! It was SO much fun to get off and then get right back on! :p

I usualy spend 2 days at Disneyland. Day one we run in and do Peter Pan first, then Mr. Toad, Alice and the Matterhorn. You can usually do them in the first 20 minutes.
The second day I go do Indy and Splash Mountain.

Dumbo, Storybookland & Peter Pan, then to Toontown and Gagets Go Coaster. You could not pay me enough to wait for any of these rides in the middle of the day.

We have a four and a half year old; at WDW we start with Dumbo, then do the rest of Fantasyland before going to Toontown. This upcoming trip to DL will be his first to DL/DCA...I'm sure it will be the same there. :D

Our first rides are Peter Pan, Dumbo, Carousel, Alice, Teacups then Storybook Canal Boats, then Small world and on to Toon Town. My girls won't ride the dark rides in Fantasyland yet so we skip those.

We do this order EVERY morning of our trips (usually 5 days) and the girls love it. Fantasyland in the morning is the best. Later in the day you could not PAY me to walk through that place. We save Pirates/HM/ Jungle Cruise/ and Pooh for later in the day.

What's funny is we have a rule where the kids get to pick the rides (they take turns) and EVERY time we ride the rides in the same order, but if I suggest the next ride (still in the order) they get all freaked out and demand to let them pick the rides, then pick the one I just said. :hyper:
