First Reservation

We are so excited. We just closed last Thursday and were in the system today with points. We had a cash reservation with friends from July 31st to August 8th. We needed two studios and we could have stayed at SSR for the entire reservation but decided to mix it up. We are staying at OKW for the first 5 days then BWV for the next 2 we even got a standard view so we are saving points. We wanted BLT for the last night and got it. We didn't think there would be much choice on where to stay this late in the game, but we had some good choices. Thanks to everyone on this board for all the help playing the waiting game.

I keep going back in forth in my head if I want to split stay or not. It will be my first time using DVC in FL, and the idea of a whole week without having to pack is enticing. At the same time, I want to experience other resorts too!!

We really want to develop a favorite. So we decided that the headache was worth it. They will move your bags. So we will probably pack two bags. One for the first days the other for the last part of the stay.

That is what we did last year when we did a split stay. I packed two suitcases--one for the time at BCV and one for the time at BLT.

We are doing the same thing this summer and will pack that way. It is actually pretty easy.

For me, I even pack double of things that I wouldn't want to have to move and throw them out (like the scrubbie we use in the shower).

Welcome Home!

We did a split stay last year (OKW and BCV), and while it allowed us to go to BCV for the first time, we never really felt "unpacked" for the 2nd part of the stay. While it didn't take a lot away from the trip (we loved Beach Club) I don't think we'd split stay again.

I'm sure it will be great either way you decide!
