First Reservation! Got Everything I Wanted!!

I became a new DVC member yesterday and called tonight to make my first reservations. (very exciting by the way)

I first ask for the BCV for August 15-19 in a studio and they had it available. YIPEE!!

Then I ask for a one bedroom Boardwalk View for the week of Thanksgiving and I got this also!!!!

I get off the phone and realize that I was not sure what I had just done. I have a June use year with 2006 points. So I banked the points and then used them for the reservation and also used some of the June 2007 points.

My question is.....if I have to cancel- what happens to the points since I had banked them????

Congratulations for getting your reservations, on the days you wanted!

You now need to get busy making those ADR's!!

If you cancel more than 31 days before checkin, your points will stay in your 2007 use year. The banked points will need to be used by May 31, 2008. If you cancel less than 31 days out, your points will be in "holding" status. Special rules will apply. It is best not to get into that situation if at all possible.
Congratulations on getting your reservations! The BW view room for Thanksgiving week is a real snag--I'm surprised it was available.

Congrats and enjoy Beginners luck, you may *NEVER* get all of your requests again, so enjoy it.

Banking and Borrowing are final transactions they can not be undone. Cancellations have already been explained!
