First Radisson Shuttle 10:00 or 10:30/ Taxi or shuttle?

Does anyone know if the Radisson is starting the shuttles early due to the high demand?
I thought I read on the Shuttle thread below that people were told to be in the lobby at 9:45 for the 10:00 shuttle.

It would make sense if the added a bus and two vans to start early.

Also I have been reading how chaotic the shuttles are and that it's essentially a free for all, no one is checking names etc.
How difficult is it to get a cab to take us from the Radisson to the port, and how much do you think it would cost?

I just have this sinking feeling that we are going to be starting a relaxing vacation stressing out about the shuttle.

Well, why not...? It seems the thing the most beyond our control, like transportation, is the thing that gets all the stress-producing attention...

My transportation complaint/concern stems from the fact that the Dis shuttle bus doesn't leave AKL for the port until 12:30PM.

My options?
Go to the airport early and leave for the port from there.(the dis-bus to port leaves around 9:30)

Rent a car and try to find someone who can load my electric scooter, service dog, luggage, and stuff into it and then search for the port and, if I find it before 4PM, Hooray.

Check out of the AKL early...NO WAY! and go to the Radisson at the port the night before departure (how, without a car? we were just on THAT one). THAT would put me in your stress mess... Of course, I could tow my luggage behind my scooter from the Radisson to the terminal...I know from experience that not many taxis can load a scooter.....


Purchase the ROMANTIC ESCAPADE AT SEA package for my service dog and myself (canine massage, anyone?) in order to be able to pre-reserve the on-board activities...but I still end up missing half a day roaming around the terminal and then ship....
That's the hassle that's driving me crazy.....What a mess. Guess I'll submit to a 2pm arrival time and take the bus from AKL to port...sigh...

Stress...this is for a May cruise! Maybe I can do better on the December cruise...

As for your specific questions you might search through the cruise trip reports for someone who has done the Radisson thing recently and PM them for answers if you don't get a full answer here....
