Thanks for the feedback! There was a lot of green from all the trees reflecting on her--this is a little better, and like the crop better too. Good suggestion, Jeff. And yes, it was my 24-70. (Extra bonus! Building up strong arm muscles...)

Long story, but lucked into this opportunity today at a local Metropark.
It was really fun having someone who seemed to know what they were doing (and all dressed up!) posing for us. Got a few nice ones, I think.
Learned a lot--especially that I need a tripod! LOL

A few more--too windy for a macro lens today, but happy with what I got out of the 24-70.

You people that shoot kids--I'm in awe of your talent They really tested my skill today. These critters move too fast for me! Give me a flower that stands nice and still or a dog who will hold still for a cookie anytime! LOL

I like it. My only suggestions would be that the white balance seems off a bit- (her skin looks a little green to me but then again I have not calibrated my monitor in a year either so it may be me. :confused3 ) and if you had some more room to the right I might make it a little less tight of a crop- just a touch. Looks super though- 24-70?

I agree about the white balance having a slight green tint. Other than that it is a really good portrait. I like the way the lighting highlights her hair and the focus of the composition is on her eyes. :thumbsup2

I agree with Jeff ... the color is a little off for me too. Her skin does have a greenish tone for me. I thought it was the color on this new little laptop I got today but I think too the white balance needs adjusted. Other than that I like it :)

You must have fixed her skin tones because she look good to me. That bokay is fantastic! You are loving that lens, I can tell. I love the waterlily too. Wish I had time to get out to Cox. :)
