First Night Restaurant Recommendation

I am looking for a recommendation for a nice dinner our first night at DLR. I was planning to go to Hook's, but I just found out it is closed on Wednesdays.

Any suggestions for other resort, Downtown Disney, or close non-Disney restaurants?

Across the street from DLR (Harbor) is Mimi's Cafe. It's a small chain restaurant that serves very good food. The decor is french inspired. They have a website if you want to check out the menu.

At DTD I like Ralph Brennan's though we usually eat at the Kitchen Express, not the sit down one.

The only resort one we've eaten at in the resorts is White Water Snacks (DCA)-more of a breakfast or lunch place. Think upgraded food court.

We just ate at Mimi's on our arrival - Saturday!!!! I was Fabulous!!! Generous helpings - great food! Took the recommendation from other dis'ers and am glad we ate there....

We ate at mimis cafe 3 times for breakfast last week, the muffins are spectacular! We usually just ordered that and some hot chocolate and were good to go. If you want more upscale for dinner you could try Napa Rose, located in the Grand Californian, we did it on friday night and had a great time and AWESOME food! a little pricey, but you get what you pay for, I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Another vote for Mimi's Cafe, but you might also try one of Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's, Roy's Hawaiian Fusion, or Bubba Gump's at Gardenwalk on Katella (a block east of Harbor Blvd). All good choices.

How about a good seafood restaurant also?

I would say Steakhouse 55 for a real nice dinner, we always do RFC the first night.
