We will be arriving at CBR on October 9 and have nothing planned that evening. We are hoping to either hang out at the resort and swim and eat dinner, or head to Disney Springs. I had loosely planned to check out Wolfgang Puck Express for a qs credit for dinner but now I'm not sure with all of the new options.

What would be your favorite DDP QS for your first night?

Thanks!

We ate at Disney Springs our first night and went to Wolfgang Puk Express. The food was really good, service was fast, and prices were reasonable. I would recommend it if you're not looking at spending an hour or more on supper. If you're looking for something quick, good tasting, you can't go wrong.

Earl of Sandwich is also tasty at Disney Spring

Raglan Road's counter part. It isn't new, but we love it.

Cooke's of Dublin.

Cooke's or Raglan Road is a tradition for us.

IMO WPE cannot be beat especially if using a QS credit...I've heard great things about Earl of Sandwich but it isn't a good use of QS credit so we've never been. The Cooke's of Dublin was good when we had it years ago.

I've heard Blaze Pizza is good and its new.

CBR's QS meals are decent if you would like to stay at the resort. But I think arrival night is a great time to check out Disney Springs. That is our plan only we are going to Raglan Road for a sit down dinner.

We love WPE but we've never been there when the line was not out the door. If you're going during dinner time on October 9th, it's the Sunday before Columbus Day which means Disney Springs could be relatively busy. More so than a week night. While the WPE line moves pretty quick, it could be more time consuming than just staying back at CBR and eating at the resort. We like the food court at CBR, actually.

If you're anxious to go somewhere and don't want to go to a park, you could bus to MK and ride the monorail to Poly or CR. We find those two to have the best deluxe resort QS options.

I like CBR qs, they have a lot of options and sometimes Disney Springs can be a little crowded and overwhelming on the first day of the trip. I always like our first meal to be a relaxing one just so we can get into the swing of things and not have huge crowds around us.

Our first night always starts out in DS. We arrive at around 3pm, drop off our luggage at SSR, hit the margarita stand, followed by some apps and drinks at Jock Lindseys, and end the evening with some Macho Nachos and drinks at Splittsville while watching whatever sporting event is on TV. We are going to try to incorporate Blaze pizza, 3 pigs or the poutine spot this oct.

Can you recommend a good QS option at CBR. We arrive semi late with the kids and don't want to venture out.

They just basically have their food court with a few different stations...Like pizza, burgers, salads, etc...

They have a tofu caesar salad that is amazing. They also have a lot of different sandwiches that are sort of caribbean styled.

WPE is one of our faves. I'd stick with it!

We also ate at CBR's quick service and Peppermarket (Coronado Springs) last year and enjoyed them. However, I think WPE is better than either one. Just make sure your family likes what is on the menu wherever you go. They change them often.

Depends how tired we are. We do love Earl of Sandwich, but, on a first night, we just check out the QS at the resort, whatever it is, but then, we have been travelling a whole day by then, and usually just want something quick, and non challenging.

We are big WPE fans but I too want to check out some of the new places. We are still planning on WPE for arrival night but will go back and try D-Lux Burger another day. I think Blaze looks good but we have one about 6 miles up the road from us so I'd just eat it here.

I have never been to WPE! Crazy, I know! We don't get to WDW often and Disney Springs is so crowded that we just haven't tried it yet. I agree with many of the Disers, for your first night I would probably just stick with your resort and the QS options there. It would be a much more relaxing beginning to your trip. The food court at CBR when I was there had lots of good options for everyone. You might also just get something from the pool bar. I know my son's favorite meal was the cheeseburger from the pool bar at CSR so I assume that CBR would have a similar option. I don't remember what options they had when I was at CBR so long ago.

We have a Blaze pizza in my town here. It opened this summer. It is great for all the fresh toppings they have. Think of it as something like a Subway but for pizza. The choice of toppings are great -- fresh mozzarella, and other cheeses and lots of veggies and meat options.
I even recommend the gluten free crust!

DSp has a lot of great options. We chose to do WGPE and Bongos Express on our first night (right next to each other)...so yummy!

Earl of Sandwich and D-luxe Burger are also popular choices.

Even with all the new options, WPE would still be the place I'd go.
I can't comment on the new options as we haven't been for a few years but I have always felt that WPE is the best QS option at Disney.
