$10 bucks...so doubled my money .

We only played one game as we are a new group forming--and beginner's luck...I won all six rounds. Didn't win the big Bunko money..but 10 bucks isn't too shabby.

A dice game--and the best I can describe it..kinda like yahtzee...in a way way far comparison.

3 dice...6 rounds....1st round you try to roll 1's, 2nd round 2's, 3rd round 3's etc until round 6.

The rules we played by tonight (kinda flexible)--

3 tables of 12 players...1 table is the head table and you rotate.

Head table rings a bell--and you roll the die taking turns (4 people to a table, and you are partnered as ateam). First team at the head table to get to 21 points rings the bell and the round is over (rolling each # counts as 1 point and then there are other points for other things). The other tables--the winner is the team who scored the most points.

More rules than that--but that's the gist. You pick it up real easy.

We play couples Bunco. Lots of fun.

I think it is funny to see all of the various styles of "throwing the dice!" One friend just drops them, another practically throws them off of the table.

When I was little my mom and grandma played in a Bunko Club. They would take turns going to different houses. I remember helping my mom set up the tables, put out the candy and the prizes. They didn't play for money just prizes. The best was when someone couldn't come and I would get to play

I love Bunko! We have a group here that plays once a month and we each put $10 in the pot. We play 3 rounds and at the end we divy the pot like this:

Most Bonko's
Most Wins
Most Losses
Most Mini-Bonko's - when you roll 3 # but not the # your trying for.
Last person to have a Bonko - We pass a little stuffed animal around as Bonko is yelled so the last person holding the animal wins.

Sounds like our BUNCO group. We do put in $5/person and then award prizes with that money. It is easier then the hostess buying gifts for prizes (we do that for the card club we are in and it gets to be a pain trying to figure something out for that).
