First Night On Property Help...

For a couple-only trip, I'd go to the Kona Island Sushi Bar at the Polynesian Resort for sushi and cocktails/sake (I believe you mentioned that your wife likes that!) No reservations are needed, so you wouldn't have to worry about your arrival time and the possibility of losing your credit card guarantee. You also wouldn't need park passes, so you'd save a little $$$ also.

You two could then watch the Wishes fireworks from the Poly beach (very romantic!) and/or visit the monorail resorts and shop. Sounds like it would be a lovely evening!

to do something low stress that doesn't require running our butts off.

That said, we have done the Hoop Dee Doo and Spirit of Aloha as well as Chefs de France, Cape May and Narcosses at fireworks time.

To be honest, as long as the evening ends at the MK on Main Street to experience Wishes...it will be a magical beginning!

Here are a few of my ideas, but I'd LOVE some input!

1. Dinner and vino at Mama Melrose, and then Fantasmic.
2. Dinner in Epcot, and stroll around World Showcase as we wait for Illuminations
3. Dinner at Crystal Palace and Wishes at MK

My goal here is to show her how "adult", yet fun WDW can be. I think that she'd love the studios, as her first real introduction into the world of Disney has come through our 3 year old son who loves Toy Story, Cars, Peter Pan, and Pirates. I really think she'd get a big kick out of Toy Story Midway Mania. I also know that she'd love to have sushi and cocktails, which means Epcot would be ideal. We only have 4 nights in WDW, so I need to really show her just a few of the incredible things it has to offer! Any suggestions?

:confused3

OK I have been thinking about this since you posted that your 3 year old will not be with you.

Of your 3 suggestions, I would rate then in reverse order.

1. By going to DHS late you are also going to submit her to the dark side of WDW, long lines with long waits. If you get the DHS after say 12:30 all Fp's for TSM will be gone and you will be looking at maybe 90 minute waits. Also if you go to the first Fantasmic you are going to be waiting a long time in a very big line. Not very magical. Save DHS for a full day when you can get Fp's for TSM and maybe a day that has two Fantasmics. We when to the second showing in may and we had a nice rest after a long day in the Beauty and the Beast Theater where we waited for them to clear the first showing of Fantasmic.

2. Is a good choice but its really not Disney as much as ....

3. Going to the MK the first night. Not sure where you are staying, but I would take the monorail to one of the Monorail resorts from either the TTC or MK and eat at one of the "normal" TS places. Then monorail back to the MK. This way can see that WDW is really not 6 flags and you have only seen a quarter of it. For me I would go to the Contemporary and eat there, the Wave, because it and the monorail are old school Disney. The resort TS can be cheaper than CP (43.00 :scared1:) and I'm not sure how much character interaction you want for your "Adult" time.

Make sure you have enough time to see the Magic Memories and You Castle show before Wishes.

I would dine in Epcot, stroll around World Showcase and take in Illuminations. So # 2 on your list! :thumbsup2 Add in an adult beverage and to me that would be a great beginning to your Disney trip! :cool1:
