First MVMCP of the season

I'm thinking of getting tickets for the MVMCP the night before our Disney Cruise. It's the first one of the season. Has anyone ever gone to the first one? Is it more/less crowded?

Also, any idea of the cost for the tickets with the DVC discount?

The first party has been selling out when it's on a Friday. Not sure if it will this year being on a Sunday.

We went last year, it was on a Friday and I don't remember it being overly packed! We enjoyed ourselves and were able to ride everything we wanted with only short waits! Going again this year to the first MVMCP of the season and I hope it being on a Sunday night will work out in our favor

If you're attending to do rides, it will never seem packed. Most are there to do the party specific things (parade, fireworks, shows and characters).

We went on the first night of MVMCP 2013 and it wasn't as crowded as it was when we went in Dec 2012.
