Hello all,

I am doing my first marathon the Half Marathon in 2012!! I saw a video on youtube about the Victory Lap in 2010. Did they do this in 2011? I just have a few question about that to make the reservations easier for us to make.
DO you think they will have it in 2012?
Is it usually on the Sunday at night in HS?
Also I saw you can just buy tickets so my parents can come too but they have annual pass tickets so how does that work?
Thanks!:yay:

Sorry, i can't help you with most of your questions, but as for your parents, usually APs do not cover special, additional events, so i would assume they would need tickets to any special Victory Lap party.

Hope that helps a little....

Never heard of this. They had Marathon Monday in 2011, but that was just where people who did the full got a one day pass to one park of their choosing i believe - no hopper or anything. But the park wasn't reserved only for marathoners.

No clue what Victory Lap is.

The Victory Lap party was a separate hard ticket party in a park (DHS the last few years) on the Sunday night of marathon weekend. It was not held in 2011. I don't have a crystal ball (or a contact at runDisney) but my guess is it will not be offered in 2012 either.

I think the Victory Lap was an overall flop. It was designed to fill the void left from the closing of Pleasure Island wherer the post race party was held for the last few years. The victory lap was a one year event, maybe two.

Not suree what Disney will offer for 2012. Hoping that the Marathon Monday theme will continue - depends on the economy and how hard Disney needs to push to get folks to stay the extra night and into the parks.
