I had candy molds that were circular with a cross in the middle and Holy on top, Communion on bottom. I made them with white chocolate to resemble the wafer that is given at the mass. I just laid them on a tray like at mass.![]()
It is a wafer before it's consecrated.
actually it is unlevened bread.
Does anyone have any cute favor ideas for my daughter's communion next month? I'm planning on having about 30 guests. Something with candy usually seems to be the most well received. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!![]()
We had chocolate crosses made and wrapped in clear plastic and tied with my son's name and communion date.
We had white chocolate and milk chocolate.
uh, it's not a wafer. It's Holy Eucharist. Body of Christ. Not a wafer.
Thank you. You are correct. I wish my priest would stop calling them wafers. I'll correct him next time too. I'm sure that will go over well.

I guess I will have to do they same....lol

I know what they are! I was giving an idea to someone that was all.

it is OK to let insignificant details slide by.

We gave out prayer cards that were personalized with our sons name and date of communion and that will always be a great help for us to remember the date of his 1st communion as well. Good luck!
An appropriate gift, if one feels the need to give something. My Mother would approve!
