This is my first post ever. I have been a lurker on the board for 6 months and would love some help planning our first major vacation to Disney even thought it is not for at least another year I can't wait to go back! We want to take our DS who turns 4 in Jan. 2015. We were thinking of going right after MLK next year as this is right after his B-day. Surprise him at his party! It's still value I and crowds are low (which DH & I love) but I'm concerned about the crazy Jan. weather in FL. Also was thinking of end of Feb/beg. of March for Regular season pricing. Budget will not allow any higher rates. Unfortunately, I know starting in October to end of year would be great but that is not possible due to DH's work schedule. If anyone has any experiences in the early part of the year with little preschoolers or any suggestions at all I am open to all. Thanks so much in advance! :)

We took DD for her 4th bday in May 2013. We had awesome weather, only 1 pop up thunder storm our last afternoon. We drove, stayed at the WBC for 8 nights and used the Military Salute tickets (4days in parks). We did MK 2 days, Ep 1 and AK 1. DD was 40" even so she got to ride everything but Space, EE and MS.

I have a 4 year old and a 2.5 year old. We always try to go the last week in January. My DH and I LOVE the lack of crowds in the park so that is a huge factor in our decision, it's also fairly cheap and we live in Western New York so we love the break from the cold too.

True that weather can be "iffy" at that time. For next week we're looking at high 50's to mid-60's. It doesn't thrill me but it's way better than single digits and we'll just plan jeans and sweatshirts. Last year we had beautiful weather.

One year a death in the family prevented us from going the last week in January and we moved our trip to a full week after Easter. Crowds were low, weather was better and it was fairly reasonably priced too.

Thank you both so much for you input. I will keep it in mind. I still haven't figured it out yet, but I love to hear from others. :)

We are going the end of February to celebrate our DD's 4th birthday which is Christmas. No way am I going that week. I have been in the beginning of February. Some days I needed a sweat shirt, and some I just needed a tshirt and jeans during the day.
